After this awesome Macbook has had an utter beating, im considering buying a macbook pro.

yeah, that's the biggest problem...

Stick the disc in and install which will likely just put it all on top of the other install
and everything should still be there.

that'd require me trying to find my old windows product key and i dont know where that is, this is one of the bigger factors in why i'm trying to avoid a reinstall
