that's why I'm on a temporary visa now..the permanent visa is apparently even more of a bitch to get, you have to essentially prove that whatever job you will be looking for cannot already be completed by an American! By doing it this way, I am basically working in the job for a couple of years, then will go home and begin the process for permanent visa knowing that I've suddenly got specialized knowledge.
