are you downloading torrents?
Some ISPs will throttle your bandwidth if they detect torrent traffic. Get a client that will encrypt the packets.

nope, we're ok on that
speed is fine, and a lot of sites (b3ta included) are running A-OK and very fast

it appears to be sites that are affected quite abit by javascript.
last week, I mentioned on here that /talk very often carshes for me - not /board or /links, just /talk. It was isolated to a javascript problem.
