If she goes, and goes without making it clear that it's not, then she's misleading him. the fact that he's paying is neither here nor there, except that she's taking advantage of his unreciprocated feelings to get a free cinema ticket

I don't know what form of logic you're using here to suggest that he needs to "learn a lesson" but the only person behaving a little badly here is her.
