Well he could start by asking
if she says yes, groovy.

Also it's probably fair to say that by the time it gets to that particular act, if she says she's not into the idea then it's safe to say that she's not into the idea.

To be honest I fail to see how anyone could get it wrong, without noticing it wasn't wanted.
