Last night I woke up to some banging.
There was loads of banging, which sounded like it was coming downstairs. It sounded like the club was being broken in to.

It got to the point where I was about to wake up the house and call the police, when I realised it was a plank of wood that's outside my window.

It's a plank of word to stop me walking on the unsafe parts on my roof-garden (hard to explain).
But one corner's nail came off and so it was flapping in the wind.
