You get a lot of training first and coaching on the job,
You would have to be monumentally retarded not to find anyone prepared to help, that said, sometimes we would get people that were just not suitable to the job and despite our best efforts would consistently fail to get anyone at all, ever.

These people would get fired after a week or so without any improvement.

It's worth remembering that the charity isn't looking for numbers, but for quality donors.
