my ex-MiL had a masters in Engineering
and when she insisted on helping me build my MFI-esque furniture, she still fucking broke something. I give her ONE bloody job to do, assemble a drawer, and she cracks a massive corner off it that I have to glue and clamp together again. I might as well have built the whole fucking desk with my bare hands from a tree.
