*jumps out from under stairs*

Edit: the final boss is nigh on impossible on any difficulty past recruit. I've only managed it once on marine. and I havent made it to the end just yet on veteran

ARGHHHHH!!!
*fires wildly with a shot gun hoping it'll hit something*

You need to start thinking of it more like a tom clancy-style shooter
and being far more stealthy and careful. If you go at it unreal tournament-style you'll have real trouble getting past the hellknights later on.

*pops out from behind the sofa as a tripod creature*

"OOOOOOOOOOOOHLAAAAAAAA"

They've got some kind of industrial low pitched finishing-time horn in the new movie
instead of 'ulla'

not as scary

mindpiss
and i thought the new sound was great

isnt is supposed to be the bass line from the Close Encounters tune?
(, Sun 3 Jul 2005, 23:53, archived)
It sounds shit
more like a fog horn than anything else.

what, so you expect massive war machines
to sing?
(, Sun 3 Jul 2005, 23:54, archived)
I wanted to see them
flying to earth in the hairy bollock cars, so I dont think I'd ever be happy with the new movie.

There's no singing in the movie?

Not even Justin Haywood sneaking in a quick reprise?
(, Sun 3 Jul 2005, 23:58, archived)
not once.
Though I'm sure at some point I heard that Eve of the War had been re-recorded...

i was quite pleased that in the new film
the tripods do have a kind of ullaaaaa!
(, Sun 3 Jul 2005, 23:52, archived)
I didn't think it was that bad...
Just run (not walk) away from the boss, get the soul cube, repeat. Unless they changed the game seriously for Xbox, it should be the same on all platforms.

The one in Hell, I felt, was worse, but that's because you have to shoot a much smaller target. Great game, though, not nearly as bad as the consensus makes out.

I thought it was more
repetitive and boring than scary.

the last game i bought
was the original half life.

I did enjoy that game
had it on ps2 and gave it away when I had finished it. I miss it now.

Games I would like to play again (I give them away when I have played them once)

Zelda from SNES
James Bond from N64 (Goldeneye?)
Half Life from PS2
