Shame, I'd moved a week's holiday from last year to this so I could go on a long holiday (which now isn't happening anyway) so I've got 5 weeks to use up. It would mean I would only have to work 1 week.

Did you take statutory minimum last year? That would have been 24 days including bank holidays.
If you didn't, you should be able to carry that over. If you did, then it's up to them whether they let you or not.
