I think that just once when Scrappy Doo was yelling "Lemme at 'em, LEMME AT 'EM"
they should have just "let him at them" and watch him get pummelled to a shit. He's not going to learn anything by them molly-coddling him.

I think he should have been hit constantly by bricks and then broken glass
before having bags of salt poured over him and then his quivering body thrown into a childs play pool full of vinegar.

That would have involved the good people at Hanna Barbera having to draw at least twelve new frames of animation.
Never gonna happen.

Zoiks, Scoob! Let's run away past this same twenty frames of repeating wall for five minutes!

On a similar note, regarding "Orko" from the He-Man cartoons
The character was named Gorpo in the early original series drafts, but he was renamed Orko for animation purposes; Filmation artists often flipped the character cels, a technique that works best when the characters are symmetrical in design, and putting a "G" on Orko's shirt would have complicated the process because the letter G is not a symmetrical shape.

He only wanted to hump their legs.
The poor frustrated runt.

What a shame that none of the villains they ever uncovered were vivisectionists.
They could have granted them amnesty if they just sorted out Scrappy.

Have you not seen the infamous "Origin of the Nodding Dog" episode?
