I thought if you were into watersports (hur hur)
you had to own an old Bedford CF or a Commer PB or *shudder* a Volkswagen. Transits just aren't cool enough, unless it's a twin-axle LWB Mk II.

VW Transporters seem to be the van of choice for the sea kayaking crowd
with the posher folk going for long wheelbase Defenders (although that chap does like to do things like drive from Morocco to South Africa via the West coast) and Mercedes Vitos.

I want a Transit Connect because they reasonably compact and are possibly the best van in their class (being designed from scratch instead of being some mutated car platform).

I just want a van with a 2 metre load length capacity (with the front seat collapsed) that isn't much bigger/wider than a car.
