I don't get channel 4
One day you will see an episode of the Simpsons from season 15/16. The next day, expecting to see another newish episode there will be something from season 1

Exactly.
I've not had Sky for about 7 or 8 years now, so pretty much any episode younger than that is new to me... but C4 insist on showing the old episodes over and over.
