and don't care how they do, as long as they 'have fun'.
Unfortunately, their definition of 'having fun' and 'dicking around' appear to be the same thing, which has infuriated me somewhat.

After paying fees and spending hours travelling across the country to attend the events, it's not fun putting up with people who treat it as a lolacious jolly, esp when everyone else is at least putting the effort in and having fun at the same time.

I'd rather play hard, enjoy the game and still lose rather than play half-arsed and lose badly, especially when there's no reason not to.
I don't really see the fun in not playing as hard as you can.
This may mean that I stop going to these jollies and just focus on the more serious events.

I just fail to see why people would prefer to dick around at the cost of losing so badly to other teams.
Way I see it: if you're good enough, you can all play hard together and dick around at the party afterwards but in the games themselves: I'd rather play and enjoy playing rather than not be able to play, simply because other people don't want to play.

A dozen pushpins and a paper plate. That'll do ya.

But it does lead to organisers putting their logos on Discrafttm discs and selling them off at these events.
It's either teams with a bit of a budget or tournaments themselves who order in bulk of 50 or 100 discs, and then sell them onwards.
It's a neat way of showing people what events you attended, who you played against etc.
