"N64" "advanced" ?
the N64 was a shambles of a console. Much like the Jaguar before it, developing games for the N64 was a nightmare. Despite being a 64-bit machine and actually quite powerful under the hood, it was hideously marred by the fact it ran on cartridges when CD drives had already proven a better storage medium for games, both in terms of storage space and read speeds.
It had some fun games, but ultimately it was a mess of a console. Notice how the only people who really defend it are the ones who owned one? I'm the same with the Dreamcast - I know it's a shoddy console, I know it's not actually 128-bit, I know it was a nightmare to develop for and there's only a few good games for it but DAMMIT IT HAS SHENMUE ON IT AND IT'S THEREFORE THE BEST CONSOLE EVER MADE!
