This is going out to everyone who has posted accusations of child molestation recently. You are not being singled out. If someone gets left out its because I can't waste my *entire* day tracking you all down.

Let's start with I don't care who said what first.
Second, I'm not banning people.

B3ta is not going to be a forum for wild libellous statements. If you post stuff like this not only can you be sued for libel, we as a site can be sued. And we will all lose because it's not fair comment.

That it has escalated to this level astounds me. It stops here, and it stops now.

@ Hi there
Ordinarily I would never, ever do this at all. Please don't think I'm so petty as to want to drag up and "win" an argument that I had with someone I've never met on the internet about a month ago. I honestly hadn't given it a second thought until I got this email this morning and I thought you might find it interesting. If you still think I'm a prick then that's fine, and I'm sorry to bother you any further. But this email is the reason why I wrote that post in the first place...

"Hi,

You don't know me but I am an aspiring film maker from Essex. Basically I want to speak to you about Deene Naz.

Recently I answered an ad on filmcrewpro asking for crew to help on an upcoming horror film. Naturally I was excited so I applied and, to my delight, received an email straight away.

Deene rang me the next day and spent 20 minutes telling me his backstory. Whilst I thought this was a little weird - surely he would want to know my experience and not tell me his own? - I went with it.

So I drove to Manchester. This is a five hour drive but I wasn't bothered and had quite a fun journey, despite there being a severe weather warning.

When I got there Deene was meeting in Costa coffee at the Trafford Centre - again a little weird for somebody with such credentials. He was meeting five lovely girls who were to be makeup artists. It seemed they had all got the part. Indeed when I arrived there was no interview or anything, I was simply told I had been made 3rd AD. Naturally I was excited.
So Deene seemed really keen to show us stuff about the movie: 'The Blur.' I said it was a terrible name for a horror movie. I sounded like it was about a superhero. He told me the studio had already approved it. When I asked what studio it was with he said Vertigo. That shut me up.

So he showed us some shitty photos and trailers and then came a supposed draft contract that we were told was Equity/Producer's Alliance approved. There was no official heading or logos, just 'SUMMERTIME PICTURES' written in times new roman. It was simply a word document copied as a pdf.

I noticed a mistake so I tested him. I gave him a chance and asked again: "So this is an official, legally binding contract approved by Equity?" He said yes. I then told him that they had spelt the word 'is' wrong, which they had. He got very defensive and the first words out of his mouth were: "Well I didn't write it, I didn't write it." I never said he did.

Anyway I was told I would have to come up to meet him and the whole team within a week. That is supposed to have happened today (I am writing this at half 1 in the morning).

Some of the other claims Deene made are as follows:

-That he is managed by the same guy who manages Take That, Nigel Martin-Smith
-That 'The Scent' has been optioned by HBO
-That Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) is a close personal friend

There were several others including working for 20th century fox and meeting Sam Mendes on the set of Skyfall

I have been stung before by a supposed theatre producer called Christopher Walsh who promised a lot and delivered nothing. I thought had learned my lesson.

Nevertheless I was suspicious enough to do some digging and all I could find on Deene Naz was written either by himself or by somebody who simply cannot spell. I am always wary of poor spelling, Christopher Walsh was an atrocious speller too.

So basically I have decided not to go and it is mostly down to your post on the b3ta thing. It wouldn't let me message you so I hope this reaches you.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to you.

I am now going to see if I can find the details of the five makeup artists who were there so I can warn them.

You are a true gent.

Regards,

Tom S---"

@ Hello :)
I believe you are taking the mickey out of this Gonzo chap! Why does everybody hate him so? And why is Windy Pig so unpleasant? Sand in his vagina? Anyway, have a lovely evening, this is all a little complicated for me, so I'll go back to reading QOTW instead of working, and trying to avoid the dreaded officelol ... that's the once a week somebody posts something funny.

The Cthonic one was about the Jahled Incident. No idea about the filmschool one, and the one at the bottom seemed thicker than The LOVELY Sammi.
