He wouldn't do the maintenance though, he'd just get another tenant in who was unaware of the problems.The estate agent is supposed to intervene on our behalf but they couldn't give a shit, the faster turnover the better as far as they're concerned. Every time there's a change of tenant the agent gets paid various fees for 'checking in', 'checking out', 'inventory' and assorted other bullshit, multiples of fifty quid for what amounts to less than five minutes work for them as it's all pre-printed forms. They'd change who rents their houses every single month if they could.
