My Dad's retirement watch lived in a drawer
and he was really annoyed that it had stopped every time he wanted to wear it, so he took it back to the shop to complain and they told him it was a kinetic one.

my friend wound her automatic watch for years, same story, it stopped, took it to get the battery replaced and was laughed out of the shop, my daughter wants a battery watch as she hates having to set hers if she doesn't wear it, sadtimes
