He's hardly ill at all, just an upset stomach
he called in sick, didn't connect any of his symptoms with the 'rona but his boss told him to get a test anyway. He's genuinely shocked that it came back positive.

It's so weird
My sister had it, and had breathing problems and fatigue; her son had it, no symptoms at all; her partner and their daughter didn't catch it at all.

My mum works in primary care and they've had
plenty of sick, elderly people with very few symptoms, but they really are the minority in the over 70s. And yes, lots of younger people suffer very badly. It's Russian roulette and the older you are, the more underlying health problems you have the more bullets in the chambers.

Hopefully this pandemic will help put an end to the 'office hero who comes to work even though they feel unwell' culture

it's something they have a real problem with in the US, people not being able to afford to be off sick.
