I have advice!
Buy aciclovir tablets, I take one every other day and I rarely ever get coldsore now, also for me lysine ointment works a lot better to stop them than aciclovir creams such as zovirax.

The compeed plasters do help them heal quicker and partially hide them
they don't work that well with stubble which I will assume isn't a problem for you.
