It's not bad.
Not great but worth a watch. I remember the reboot/prequel debate, I came down on the prequel side because I fucking watched it. It should have had its own name (and maybe so should have Carpenter's 'original' remake/reboot/sequel) then there'd have been be a lot less confusion.
