less may be a wrongulation in this instance but i always hated the noisy grammar nazi pricks, like you,
that turned 10 items or less into 10 items or fewer AND WHERE DO YOU SEE THAT NOW? nowhere. that's where. because less is a better sounding, more punchy word than fewer.
