To give a sliver of defence to him, he said "those bombs were [specifically] for Hamas" in his recent row with Tom Morello, and I don't doubt he probably meant that. The fact that Israel doesn't appear to give a fuck who they drop them on rather undermines his point though.
It's another tricky one about whether you can enjoy the art while disapproving of the artist. It doesn't change the impact his music had on you before. Perhaps, in time, you can rationalise enjoying what you enjoyed before while disengaging with supporting them now - i.e. listen to the old music, but don't give them any more money. I guess it all comes down to how you feel about how much it retrospectively taints what has gone before.
N.B. On the opposing side of the debate, Roger Waters is also a colossal prick but I don't think anyone's stopped listening to their old Pink Floyd albums because of him.
