I went to T in the Park there in '97 and '98,
saw the Beastie Boys (with Money Mark), Portishead, Blur, the Manics, loads of other bands too. Some were OK (Stereophonics, Catatonia), some were shite (Bernard Butler), some were unexpectedly brilliant but swiftly forgotten (Rialto).

I should clarify that this particular festival took place at Balado, for clarity and shit pun purposes.

Could Bobby Gillespie ever sing, or was he always a tone-deaf banshee?

And by multiple accounts, an absolute cunt.
I've never met him so I can't verify.

Primal Scream used to be one of my favourite bands, and I can safely say that their last halfway decent album was Evil Heat, nearly 25 years ago.
Having said that, the album Bobby did with Jehnny Beth was surprisingly good.

XTRMNTR is the only album of theirs I own.
I liked it at the time, haven't listened to it for ages though
