I think the quality would be rubbish and the filesize enormous.
But I just discovered I can export as a .mov from there, so I shall experiment with that! I shall have to put them all in layers first, I guess.

If you name the jpgs sequentially such as jpg-00, jpg-01 etc.
when you open your jpg you can select "image sequence" by clicking the checkbox and that will import them all into a single file which you can save as a .mov file

when you use Open in PS there is a checkbox at the bottom "Image Sequence"
check it and it will load and a pop up frame will prompt you for a frame-rate for timelaspe you might want to set it to 24 fps
