In that sense, all challenges are the same: in 'tough' challenges, the entries that are well-thought out tend to do well, and when not much thought is required, the entries that are well-thought out tend to do well. It doesn't make much difference in the end...

As for the initial image being easy to make, I'm all for that - it's not a technical challenge, it's about making the joke.

(also: I might be setting the challenges, but it is a democracy: they're either selected by the board or discussed behind the scenes. It's not just me acting on a whim).

but seriously, crap competitions fuck the board up for three days - the film one was easy, but they were different - making the world ginger . . . Where can it go? Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised, but I can't help feeling that we will have a repeat of the last three days of Olympic logos, but with ginger people.

The only time I have actually been angry was the racist one, although if the BBC today are to considered, maybe this is as bad?
