This is a question Irrational Hatred

People who say "less" when they mean "fewer" ought to be turned into soup, the soup fed to baboons and the baboons fired into an active volcano. What has you grinding your teeth with rage, and why?

tea stains
on cups.
it's not clean. you didn't wash it, you just rinsed it. i don't want to drink tea out of a cup that is still stained with someone else's tea.
that's bad enough, but tea stains on teaspoons is even worse.
"oh, i just can't get the stain off."
YES YOU FUCKING CAN! just use a scourer, you fucking gyppo! i don't want your brown-stained spoons anywhere NEAR something i'm going to drink!
WASH YOUR SPOONS AND CUPS PROPERLY!

Oh dear lord
Don't ever visit my mate Tony - the stains on his mugs must be a few millimetres thick :(

eeeeewwwww
i'd throw the lot of them into the bin

It's not so bad when it's your own tea stains
But I get your point

I disagree
Tea stains give the mug character, and improve the flavour. Also makes you think about how your insides must have been tanned into leather by years of tea.

tea stains just say to me
that the owner of the cup/spoon can't wash dishes properly

I agree.
Even as a kid I hated this.

I was at a friends house once and I saw his mum let the dog finish off the dregs of a cup of tea she was drinking by letting him lap it up out of the cup. She then gave the cup a quick dunk in a luke warm sink of washing up water before putting it on the drainer. Must have been about 24 years ago now, and I've never had a hot drink at his house!

i had a mate like that, but it was much worse. her brother would put his plate on the floor after a meal and let the dog lick it "clean".
then he'd put it back into the cupboard. refused any form of food or drink in their house after that.

My coffee mug is stained right now
but that's because I'm the kind of person that'll polish off a brew and go back into the kitchen and make another straight away. It gets washed every morning.

My mum's terrible though. She'll have a brew, finish it, put the cup down somewhere and then when it's time for another, uses a fresh mug. We washed every mug in the house in one go once. We had enough to fill our entire worktop.
