after a few good days, you've all gone shit again :(
what about this latvian murder suspect then? did he do it? or is he a scapegoat? should we have tighter controls over letting people move here if they have a criminal history? or when were you last a scapegoat?

I don't think we should let anybody in with any criminal past.
Especially if they're black.

I think it would be wise to keep out convicted murderers don't you?

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 12:27, Reply)
if they are from the EU then there's total freedom of movement
So it's not a matter of wisdom in this case.

If it's someone that needs a visa then it's unlikely they'd get one with a murder conviction anyway.

i think we're kind of full
but i think immigrants often have a lot more to offer than many brits.

so my suggestion is one in, one out. if you want to move here, that's fine, but your country has to take one of our tracksuit wearing grey faced losers in return.

you can walk straight into a dr's appointment, there's no waiting list for any type of procedure
we never run out of water
there's loads of places for kids at schools
there's no demand for thousands of new homes to be built

you're right, the country's coping brilliantly.

and where are you going to put all these roads and new buildings?
shall we just build over all the nice bits? how about wimbledon common, shall we get rid of that?

people convicted of serious crimes in their home country should not be granted access to the UK
whether they are EU citizens or not. simple.

But no one has to show a visa.
'Not having a visa' would get you through a border. You could in theory have a list of criminal passport numbers which you could check, but I think the EU would never allow it. In the Schengen area (most of Europe), you don't even need a passport.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:28, Reply)
you said it wouldn't be possible without breaking up the EU
bit of a stretch, was the point.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:30, Reply)
OK, fair enough. It probably wouldn't be possible without US leaving the EU.
Which may happen anyway, if the British public are as stupid as I fear.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:32, Reply)
welll, the stupidity of the british public was my original point....

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:34, Reply)
This.
The whole 'checking passports' thing probably wouldn't work in a lot of Europe anyway, considering the checks in a lot of places involve flashing a passport to an exasperated officer who is listlessly waving everybody on.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:31, Reply)
so? that's Europes problem
we brits can do it properly.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:32, Reply)
I find british passport controls unnecessarily creepy.
Those face scanners would scare the shit out of me if they could recognise me properly.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:34, Reply)
in my experience, they are slower than the original lines
because of the number of belmers who can't do it.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:35, Reply)
Not in mine.
Go to the machine, get knocked back because it can't cope with my beard and glasses, go to the empty 'machine doens't recognise me' desk.

Fuck knows how many billions some fucking IT consultancy was paid for all that shit.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:38, Reply)
I can't wait to fork out for a state of the art smartcard system that won't work and can be defeated by 'buying things and selling them for cash'.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:40, Reply)
I think you're right.
America doesn't let people with criminal convictions in and there's hardly any crime there at all.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:23, Reply)
They don't have any problems with illegal immigration either!

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:24, Reply)
And they have definately won wars on drugs and terror

We have East European forrins living near us in a hostel. Shifty looking, swarthy blighters.
Lunch is proper English steak, chips and onions. And British ketchup.

Alt: cheese and onion sandwich, homemade soup and chilli doritos.
I dipped the sarnies in the soup like a pleb.

Torry?
Haha!

It's in 'the nice bit'.
I'm a fuckwit for trying to move flats around the time students were looking.

At one point I looked at a flat in Balnagask. Fuck. That.

I've just read something that says an average family of four spends £225 a month on food
I think that would last us about 2 weeks at a push
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:29, Reply)
Youse must be fat fucks to get through that much swill for Asda

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:32, Reply)
NO ASDA CHAT
They were kicked to the kerb. How much do you spend a week then?
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:37, Reply)
I reckon I spend around £30-50 a week on just me.
I usually cook stuff from scratch but don't eat extravagantly. Mostly curries, chilli's, chicken and rice etc.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:42, Reply)
Probably a ton

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:43, Reply)
Exactly
So you'd last about a fortnight then. Not including any takeaways, wine, beer, pub, etc...
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:52, Reply)
It's probably done by the same pricks who think a ready meal 'serves 4'.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:36, Reply)
This^
I want fed, not starved
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:38, Reply)
I reckon I spend more than that, £225 a month doesn't seem like much when you include treats'n'stuff.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:46, Reply)
Shit innit?
You should get hold of the BBA expenditure guidelines, some are laughably small whilst others just represent extravagance.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:51, Reply)
By the time you've bought some decent cheese and a steak or two...

(, Wed 1 Oct 2014, 13:54, Reply)
Food budgets are ridiculous.
Almost £500 for a couple with a sprog, although there's nothing that defines how many kids.

Travel allowances are £180 then an additional £10 per person, which is retarded.

Single parents can spend £60 on childrens activities, but a two parent family is restricted to spending £40.

Fucking banks.
