# Speaking of 'simples'...
I went on Compare The Market a while back, and they quoted me at around £1600 (first car, and I'm only 19). I went on yesterday and updated the results (didn't change any details) and the price has shot up to about £4000! Anyone got any idea why? I can't seem to find anything cheaper. :(

Sorry for the TJ btw...

# Wear the low-cut top you wore the first time.
I think you'll find the price gets a bit friendlier.

# what car is it?

# 1.8 ford focus zetec.
Only group 6 though.

I also tried with a 1L Lupo and it was still about £3700.

And that's with my Mum on the policy which makes it quite a bit cheaper.

# It's still a 1.8.
It's not about how much it costs, it's about how much damage an inexperienced driver can cause with it.
There's a reason they incentivise new drivers to go for smaller engines.

First time I went into a place to get insurance, I was sat to one side of the desk so I could see the screen as they typed in my 'date of birth'. I got to see it calculate the age, put it in a little box and make it flash bright yellow/red on the operator's screen.
