A lot of work that people tend not to appreciate goes into making things look as though they've been the product of the real world - wear and tear, uneven ink usage, printing irregularities (uneven density, damage to printing dye transfer materials), dust/oil/water contamination in the printing process, folds, chemical damage to the printed item (coffee stains, moulds, dye transfer from things that it has been in contact with during its lifetime), uneven illumination/shadows and so on.
Have a postcard.
