but if all we use it for is for jokes that aren't even funny then i dont see the point. at least south park was funny, putting mohammed's head on a dog or dressing him as a terrorist is just retarded, if you're going to be offensive at least be funny.

There is a lot of truth to that,but weren't the Danish cartoons used to highlight the Freedom of Speech angle, and not to be used as comedy at all?
