# Oh wow,
I have Puppet Master I and II on my rental list.
How do they hold up?
(, Fri 11 Jun 2010, 0:58, archived)
# puppet master is ok
for an old film, the effects are quite good and there's an actual plot, but don't expect scares. it's been so long since i saw the second one that i can't remember it. i think there is some climbing through heating ducts involved.

# I guess I'm just trying to recapture my youth
I've been renting some schlock-horror from when I was a kid in the eighties (thankfully my mum wasn't at all responsible and let me and my brother watch all the 18 cert horror movies)

# i'd definitely suggest
demons, the boneyard, braindead and for a laugh, night of the creeps
(, Fri 11 Jun 2010, 1:07, archived)
# I remember Demons
I'll have to look up the other two.
And "Night of the Creeps" just jogged my memory about Stephen King's "Creepshow" - I remember being scared shitless by that as a kid.

# the boneyard starts out creepy
but ends up hysterically funny. braindead is early peter "lord of the rings" jackson and is recognised as the goriest film ever made. well worth a watch.

# Oh shit,
of course....Braindead - I've seen it. It's the Aliens who come to earth to eat humans. Hilarious and utterly gorey.
Good pick.
(, Fri 11 Jun 2010, 1:26, archived)
# no, that's bad taste
braindead is the one with the lawnmower
