A typical 'cake' in the cheap supermarket here (US) contains perhaps 30 or 40 ingredients, most of which are chemicals. If that's not adulterated food, I don't know what is.

Yeah, me too.
I think it has some stupid excesses which can make it look ridiculous, but I also think it's a genuinely interesting approach.
