I think the best gig I ever went to was The Pogues in Bournemouth (the day after the Tory conference started at the same venue, the one with the navy frigate parked in the harbour).
One of the worst was The Pogues at Reading. Shane was off his head, spent the entire gig tossing a tambourine over his shoulder and trying to catch it behind his back. The man's a jerk but man, when they're firing on all cylinders it makes your hair stand on end.
