# I would gladly pay you in October
for the SNES today!

I'm a retro-gaming junkie, but I don't have any money!!

# Sort of Apropos to that
My son had $20 from his Grandfather and we went to spend it yesterday. We were kind of surprised to find an old-style transformer (but new) that I figured couldn't be more than $15 (but couldn't find actual price), took it to the counter to find out it was $34 as a collector's "re-issue" of a "Classic" transformer. It's still fucking plastic, isn't it? It's brand new - not an original, isn't it? Ridiculous.

# Collectors
would be more interested in the FIRST issue, surely?

All this "new collectable" crap is pointless...

I'd love the SNES too, but I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it even with all those games - I believe "overpriced" is the right word.

# My brother's got one
but they don't actually take full-sized carts, or come with full-sized controllers, or allow you and all your mates to cluster around the screen (easily) yelling advice at the player(s) - so it's cool, but just not the same. :-D

# Y'see, my brain saw transformer
and thought "Power Supply Unit" - you know, like 240v AC > 9v DC. "34 quid?" I thought "Perhaps it's from a +3"
Sometimes I worry.
