I'm often amazed at how carefully I have to listen to British-spoken (or sung) English
From this side of the pond the accents are so thick that, in some ways, it seems like a foreign language. Do Brits experience anything like this when Yanks speak?

we have lots of different dialects throughout the country
but all Brits sound the same to us. Probably because we aren't trained to hear differences there. Brits sound like Aussies, and some Canadians, etc
