It's a mystery what makes it there. I myself have done some right shit that's been FP'ed.There doesn't seem to be much in the way of a consistent link between quality/ cleverness/ originality and front page-ability.

I hear you on that--little correlationI've scratched my head on the few FP's I've had. Likelihood of FP changes depending on when you post and who is online at the time. My thoughts anyway.
