# I wish it was funny.
Woo to the pic, but this spells doom.
Sky News will finally become Fox News. Et cetera.

Yeah, top shop, but not a funny subject. Anyone not a martian knows Murdoch is a barely contained disaster. So a couple of undercover reporters trick him into saying what we and he all know is the truth. And for that, he's kicked out.
I hope he comes back fighting.

# Hope?
You know damn well he won't, and there'd be little or no point even if he did.

He has a lot respect amongst the MPs. Still has potential for achieving some good if he feels he has less to lose now.

# Not funny. In fact its a disaster.
Prime example : the new show Treme from the creators of The Wire is due to be shown on a new channel called Sky Atlantic. The channel may or may not be available in Blighty, but if it is you can bet it will be at extra cost. Plus Virgin and Sky will probably fall out over the costing again.

Sky buying Madmen has already resulted in far too much British money going into non-british film/show making. Sky are killing the whole industry and now Cable has opened his gob, they will probably carry on unfettered.

# No. But you *can* watch teh Klumps

# true
this sucks, Cable has fucked us all over. However you can still stick two fingers up to murdoch by aquiring these programs on t'internet

# And I was hoping, forlornly, that we'd get Treme on BBC2.
Hey, no hope is too forlorn to get utterly crushed at the swipe of a pen!

# i don't miss having sky
to be honest, freeview has many channels of shit that i can't be bothered to watch, so i don't need more channels that i don;t want to watch yet have to pay for.

interesting talkbacker in the graniad article comparing the cost sky subscription to the cost of TV license as if you could subscribe to sky and forgo paying your TV licence.

# the man is a fucking idiot.
You'd have thought he'd be over showing off in front of girls at his age.

Anyone who wants to go into politics as a career should be shot immediately.

# Which would, admittedly, make FoxNewsUK's election coverage pretty exciting.
