# hmmm.. i don't know what that means ;/
i'm sure i should be embarrased about that, but ah well.
the distort tool in photoshop would correct it in one mouse drag.
Please tell me to fuck off, if i'm being really patronising

# i didnt think of using the free transform tool

i spent some time working on the lens correction to straighten etc, but totally forgot about the free transform tools - having a senior moment :D

# But you can use the Crop Tool set to perspective
(, Sun 24 Apr 2011, 14:41, archived)
# can you??
i didnt know that :( i'm ashamed

# Yep a little trick learnt a few years back
drag out a crop selection and on the option bar is a checkbox for Perspective which allows you to adjust the corners of the selection - simples!
(, Sun 24 Apr 2011, 14:48, archived)
# oooh will have to remember that one
:)
(, Sun 24 Apr 2011, 14:54, archived)
# What's more is that you can set the dimensions on the Options bar of the final crop
somewhat like a context aware scale - limitless possibilities especially for scaling images to fit for website design for example.

# i knew about the size of the output
but didnt realise about the perspective - very handy :)

# ooo.. i just had a quick play with lens correction
it looks like it could be useful, but like you described, a pain in the ass when it's not doing what you want it to
