# I think Obama's main problem
is that the opposition are obsessively blocking him at every opportunity so he has to compromise to get even some of his proposals through. If they can screw up enough of his plans they can say 'Hah hah, see what a mess Obama made while in charge'. All the while, the Republicans are looting the USA as fast as they can.
The whole birther nonsense is thinly veiled racism and a modern-day McCarthyism - 'Have you now, or ever been, a Muslim?'

# I have a major problem with his pre-election matra about whistleblowers
and how they should be supported and encouraged. Post election, this disappeared.
The other day he declared Bradley Manning guilty, despite his not yet standing trial - and Manning has been tortured too.

A US soldier on US soil being tortured by US soldiers and Obama is the head of the military - it's in breach of many laws.

# Apparently Bradley Manning is being ordered to strip at regular intervals
I'm not surprised, he's a cutie.

# Yeah, he's not even been tried yet
and is already being severely punished more than even a murderer would.

# Someone mentioned Daniel Ellsberg who was awarded for his whistleblowing
but Obama said that this was different as the material was a different classification to the material Ellsberg released.

Yes Obama, the information (possibly released by Manning) was a LOWER classification than what Ellsberg released.

I wish they'd treat him the way war criminals get treated - ie, nice job, nice home and a seat in the government.
