It's very very tempting. He's got a lot of personality for a bird, I'm genuinely taken with him.

Ah, perhaps that does present a problem.
I've got absolutely no personal experience of keeping a bird, I just thought it sounded as if it was 'meant to be'.

I even checked it out on-line, and some people keeps bird and cats, just in separate rooms.
