haha - you can't have too many bald Garys...
TJ: A budgie flew into our window with a bang just now, so we let him in and fed him. Here he is, looking wistfully back out of the window at what could have been... He's OUR PET NOW. (At least until the RSPCA come to collect him tomorrow) He was cold and hungry, but much better now.

Ah, perhaps that does present a problem.
I've got absolutely no personal experience of keeping a bird, I just thought it sounded as if it was 'meant to be'.

haha - yeah, it does seem to be fate.
I even checked it out on-line, and some people keeps bird and cats, just in separate rooms. Dammit, I may have just talked myself into keeping that budgie...
Sliding down the arm of the sofa and bouncing of the lamp shade... always just out of reach of the cat.... just like Tom and Jerry but in really life......

When he can do a triple back flip, get back to us. Links board, preferably.
I have to say, I found your bird story to be tragic. He's dreaming about his great great great great great great grandparents who lived in the forest. Now it's sitting on a window sill.
You're probably the best suited of anyone to care for him/her. I want reports back over the years about how happy your bird has become.

Aw...thanks. I know what you mean.
I'd rather he was flying free, but he's so tame I've a feeling he wouldn't last long.
Here's a picture of him looking a bit less forlorn to cheer you up:

Yay....Round at a friends house one day....
He made me a cup of tea... I asked "Have you got a biscuit?"... "Yer" he said, went into the kitchen and returned 30 seconds later with a packet of fucking garibaldi's.... fucking shitty bastard garibaldi's... I ask you....
