They knew that they were going to work for the Evil Empire when they took the job. If it all comes crashing down I wouldn't shed many tears. The Nuremberg defence doesn't elicit much sympathy from me.

I ended up spending some of last year working for the Conservative Party. I knew it was the wrong thing to do, but I had to pay the bills. Subsequently, when I was in a more favourable position I turned down a hefty pay rise to go full-time and chose a job at a charity instead. Morals are great, but only if you can afford them.
