# and so it goes on...

# I think it might be worth all the anguish to various families
if the end result is the destruction of the News of the World.

Woo to the pic.

throwing himself off his yacht.

# I always get mixed up as to which one threw themselves of their yacht
The fact that Murdoch is the one that's still alive is neither here nor there.

# I know what you mean
but my brain then turns to the anguished families of the 1000s that would be laid off through no fault of their own.

I agree it's an absolute scumrag, but it's hardly a printer or a typesetters fault

# I have friends who work for NI in all their various guises - some for the Scum, some for Sky, I think even one at the Screws
They knew that they were going to work for the Evil Empire when they took the job. If it all comes crashing down I wouldn't shed many tears. The Nuremberg defence doesn't elicit much sympathy from me.

# Exactly
I ended up spending some of last year working for the Conservative Party. I knew it was the wrong thing to do, but I had to pay the bills. Subsequently, when I was in a more favourable position I turned down a hefty pay rise to go full-time and chose a job at a charity instead. Morals are great, but only if you can afford them.
