It's astonishing how many people campaign against wind farms near them
and even more astonishing how few of them request a nuclear plant instead.
It's almost as if people want the convenience of electricity on demand but think it's reasonable to insist that someone else has to put up with any noise or mess from it.

Once in the pub someone raised the point that they would ruin the majestic flatness of the fens
An old boy who has lived on the fen edge for years sat right at the back looked into his pint for a minute and then spoke up,
