I saw the other day that the cars spinoff movie Planes
is not actually being made by Pixar, but released as just Disney.
Nice that Pixar are maintaining their level of quality/no direct to DVD standpoint.

A tragedy indeed
Walt himself would also be ashamed at "Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse". What useles nonsense and cheap 3D crap. All about the money now. :(

tragedy?
am I not typing what I think I'm saying again

What could have been a Pixar easy buck (Planes www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKRznx2b0Zg looks great!) they've decided to pass to one of the many Disney cg teams so they can stay focused on stuff that's all about the story.
I've no problem with Disney making cheaper stuff for minor tv cable channels, especially when the viewers are generally not aware of what it takes to make the programs, just as long as the serious stuff stays on track.

i actually think that 'planes'
looks great - much better than cars. Dont know why they didnt fuck cars 2 off to straight to video (like most disney sequels) and save planes for a cinema release
