I have an ancient thing that you can plug anything into and it's "LOL, MORE CARDS" and it just happily sits there and does shit

this thing is like "LOL, IRQ, LOL, ACPI, LOL, POWERDOWN, LOL, IT'S RUNNING, LOL, CD NOT GOING TO BOOT, LOL, IT BOOTS, LOL, IT'S INSTALLED, LOL, NO OS, LOL HAHAHAHA" if I had a shotgun it'd be full of holes now

not even safe mode worked...after about an hour and a half I just switched it off, went and had a cup of tea while I called my mate who was after updates to his webpage, and then switched it back on again.

Then, of course, it worked a dream. Probably because I no longer had any urgent work to do on it
