If they are all images(peas at the least) it can be fun.
But for the most part they are a pain to read & navigate. Nesting goes to shit so you can't even click into it. edit: Top level "epics runs" are not the subject there, if it is unclear from my illustration. The effect on a post is.

Not as such, Punch. But I do think you may have hit the riff of the orginal artist.
It's a generic golf champion at defeat in his salon shopped and chopped a bit. Edward Lear may be the direction of the intent, it is from the same era.

the Alice In Wonderland artist John Tenniel?
Or John Leech perhaps. There's a touch of Goya. Hogarth's influence is there which places it pre "Jazz age"

Edit: Got bored looking it up, but as a guess it's a Frederick Henry Townsend, and I should look closer to 1910's.
