Likewise, animated gifs should be kept as small as possible, but NEVER exceed 400 KB. Please do your best to optimise your work where appropriate. Seriously though mods, some of us crush our images and animations down to fit these guidelines, if the FAQ is irrelevant please burn it so us community minded folk can have nice animations too, cheers.

I know what you meanI have made so many ground-breaking animations and I never post any because I can't get them under 400k. Honestly :P
