# 3D is highly overrated

# I'll find out next week, I am interested to find out...

# it's your call
just don't say we didn't warn you
(, Sun 12 Feb 2012, 19:01, archived)
# It's just something that has to be experienced at some time...
I will enjoy the film, I know that much, and find out how shit 3D is at the same time..

# I watched a resident evil film in 3d
I wasn't impressed

# I can't imagine I will be, but at least it will settle my curiosity..

# 3D films are the biggest rip
Hurt your eyes and are constantly blurry...

# Haha... Positive comments so far ;-)
Happy candle day ;-)

# I'm virtually blind in one eye
so I always assumed it wouldn't work for me anyway.
(, Sun 12 Feb 2012, 18:50, archived)
# it doesn't
trust me on this.

# ;-( I don't think it would..

# i had a squint operation
when i was a kid, now 3d films, magic eye pictures and depth perception in general are out for me.

cant say i've missed much by all accounts.

# I experienced some real life, which was in 3D
I found it very realistic, but a little wearying after a while.

# I think they call it 'meatspace'

# It went on too long, I just wanted to fall asleep.
Also the plot was pretty thin but yeah, I can't fault the 3D, it's a good system. Things all moving towards and away from you sometimes, nifty.

# It usually ends at a point you don't expect as well...
(, Sun 12 Feb 2012, 19:01, archived)
# Shhh, no spoilers.
(, Sun 12 Feb 2012, 19:02, archived)
# Me too.
I thought it was gimmicky to be honest. It's a great effect if used sparingly but it's totally overdone in the real life environment.

# I thnk you don't realize how good it is untill you try living in 2D
I wore an eye patch for a week once, and was putting cups down on mid air and missing door handles and stuff...

# On the plus side though
you got to be a pirate.

# i've been to 2, the second was also IMAX, so I held a higher hope. Both disappointed me.
I find the whole thing cumbersome.

The only 3D movie I ever liked was an old 3 Stooges flick at the theatre. That was at 1:00AM and I was stoned out of my mind.
(, Sun 12 Feb 2012, 18:52, archived)
# I can't imagine I will be over the moon with it....
But it seems like a good excuse to settle my curiosity with a film that I like...

# 3D is a gimmick that is rotting from the inside.
And putting a 3D effect on the Phantom Menace is like vomiting on dogshit.

# I could imagine Jonathan Meades saying it in a similar way:-)
